PFL Grants Release to Ex-Bellator Champ 'Patchy' Mix
"Patchy" Mix is officially a free agent.

“Professional Fighters League and Patchy Mix have mutually agreed not to extend his contract. We both decided that this is the best course of action for PFL and him,” the PFL wrote in a statement. “Patchy is a fantastic fighter and we wish him well. PFL is excited to crown our next 135-pound champion in the PFL World Tournament.

Mix fought once with Bellator after the PFL buyout, as he defended the bantamweight belt with a split-decision triumph over Magomed Magomedov at Bellator Champions Series Paris. The 31-year-old New Yorker has been victorious in 20 of his 21 professional appearances. His current seven-bout winning streak includes victories over the likes of Kyoji Horiguchi, Magomedov (twice), Raufeon Stots and Sergio Pettis.
