Quinton Jackson Appreciates Anderson Silva Even More After Filming ‘Lord of the Streets’

It’s been a while since former Ultimate Fighting Championship titleholder Quinton Jackson switched his career from the mixed martial arts world to Hollywood. His latest appearance is in “Lord of the Streets,” a movie produced by Tubi as part of its original content. The film debuted on April 22 and features “Rampage” portraying Kane, the biggest, baddest criminal in town. Jackson worked side-by-side with many familiar faces to MMA fans, including UFC 205-pounder Khalil Rountree Jr., former Bellator MMA champions A.J. McKee and Cheick Kongo, and fellow UFC titleholder Anderson Silva. In the story, “The Spider” portrays one of Kane’s henchmen, a gangster called Axel. Even though it was just on a movie set, the Brazilian struggled to act as the bad guy, especially in a scene that required him to verbally abuse a young woman.

“Silva is a great guy, we get along great,” Jackson told Sherdog. “It was really cool watching him work. One part was really funny because he had to tell a girl, ‘Shut up, b***h!’ He was like, ‘No, I don’t wanna say it,’ he was too nice. He didn’t want to say it and I had to remind him that it was not Anderson Silva telling her, ‘Shut up, b***h,’ or call her a b***h, it was Axel. Once he realized that, he was like, ‘Ohhh,’ then, he had no problem calling her a b***h after that. That made me like him even more. He’s such a nice guy that even for acting, he wouldn’t call a girl a b***h.”
