Pavlovich, 30, climbs into the cage on the strength of a five-fight winning streak. The former Fight Nights Global titleholder last competed at UFC on ESPN 42, where he punched out Tai Tuivasa a mere 54 seconds into their Dec. 3 encounter. Pavlovich has delivered 14 of his 17 career victories by knockout or technical knockout, five of them inside one minute. Blaydes has rattled off three straight wins. The 32-year-old Elevation Fight Team export last appeared on July 23, when he was awarded a technical knockout after Tom Aspinall suffered a knee injury just 15 seconds into their UFC Fight Night 208 showdown. Only two men—Francis Ngannou (twice) and Derrick Lewis—have beaten Blaydes to this point.

UFC Fight Night 222 “Pavlovich vs. Blaydes” also features a lightweight scrap pairing Bobby Green (-255) with Jared Gordon (+205), a women’s strawweight clash pitting Iasmin Lucindo (-350) against Brogan Walker (+250) and a welterweight tilt matching Jeremiah Wells (-115) with Matthew Semelsberger (-115). Lightweights anchor the seven-fight undercard, where onetime World Series of Fighting champion Ricky Glenn (-150) toes the line against Kill Cliff Fight Club export Christos Giagos (+120) at 155 pounds.
