Derrick Lewis may not be Ultimate Fighting Championship champion, but he can now claim the top spot in another area.

“The Black Beast” became the promotion’s all-time knockout king at UFC Fight Night 199, where he stopped Chris Daukaus via KO 3:36 into the opening stanza of their heavyweight headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday night. Lewis bounced back from an interim title loss to Ciryl Gane in August to end Daukaus’ five-bout promotional winning streak in the process.

13: KO/TKO victories in UFC competition for Lewis, who passed Vitor Belfort and Matt Brown for No. 1 in promotion history, regardless of weight class.

17: UFC wins for Lewis, No. 2 in heavyweight history behind only Andrei Arlovksi (21).

8: Career knockdowns for Lewis, moving him into a tie with Frank Mir, Pat Barry and Francis Ngannou for No. 9 in UFC heavyweight history.

10: Finishes at UFC Fight Night 199, tied for the third most in modern promotion history.

7: Fight unbeaten streak for Belal Muhammad, the third-longest in the UFC’s welterweight division behind only Kamaru Usman (15) and Leon Edwards (10). The only blemish on Muhammad’s record during that stretch is a no contest against Edwards at UFC Fight Night 187.

120: Total strike advantage for Muhammad. The Chicago native outlanded Thompson by a 171 to 51 count in total strikes over the course of their 15-minute affair.

7: Takedowns landed in nine attempts for Muhammad, a UFC career best and the most of anyone on the UFC Fight Night 199 card. “Remember The Name” also logged 11:52 of control time compared to 52 seconds for Thompson.

5: Consecutive victories for Amanda Lemos, tying her with Carla Esparza and Tatiana Suarez for the longest active winning streak in the UFC’s strawweight division. Lemos took a split decision over Angela Hill in a featured bout on Saturday.

0-4: Record in bouts that go to split decision for Hill. Her four split-decision defeats tie her with Jorge Masvidal, Clay Guida and Paul Felder for the most in UFC history. In all four of those bouts — losses to Lemos, Michelle Waterson, Claudia Gadelha and Cortney Casey — the majority of MMA media scorecards tracked by MMADecisions.com favored Hill.

18: Victories in UFC/WEC competition for Cub Swanson, tying him with Jose Aldo and Max Holloway for most in featherweight history. Swanson dispatched Darren Elkins via technical knockout 2:12 into the opening round of their 145-pound scrap on the UFC Fight Night 199 main card.

3,374: Days since Swanson’s last first-round finish. That, interestingly enough, came against current UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira at UFC 152 on Sept. 22, 2012.

.100: Significant striking accuracy for Elkins, who landed just 2 of 19 attempts in defeat. Swanson, meanwhile, landed 18 of 30 — a 60 percent success rate.

8: Submissions in UFC competition for Gerald Meerschaert, tying him with former heavyweight champ Frank Mir for the sixth most in promotion history. Meerschaert tapped out Dustin Stoltzfus with a rear-naked choke at the 2:58 mark of Round 3 in a middleweight affair. “GM 3” has finished 32 of his 34 professional victories inside the distance.

3: Submission wins in 2021 for Meerschaert, tying him with eight fighters in the modern era for most submissions in a calendar year. The others: Islam Makhachev, Charles Oliveira, Misha Cirkunov, Mickey Gall, Uriah Faber, Jon Jones, Demian Maia and Rich Clementi.

7:27: Total control time for Stoltzfus prior to the submission defeat. He also landed all four of his takedown attempts.

5: First-round KO/TKO losses for Harry Hunsucker, who suffered his second such defeat in UFC competition at the hands of Justin Tafa on Saturday.

137: Significant strikes landed by Charles Jourdain in a unanimous decision triumph against Andre Ewell at bantamweight. By comparison, Ewell landed 56. That total included significant strike advantages of 60 to 18 in Round 2 and 52 to 15 in Round 3.

2,296: Days since Raquel Pennington’s last submission victory, a rear-naked choke of Jessica Andrade at UFC 191 on Sept. 5, 2015. “Rocky” earned her first tapout win since then when she submitted Macy Chiasson with a guillotine choke 3:07 into Round 2 of their featherweight bout.

13: KO/TKO finishes from the crucifix position in UFC history after Don’Tale Mayes technical knockout victory over Josh Parisian at heavyweight.

6: Takedowns landed in eight attempts for Mayes. Mayes landed one takedown total in his previous six bouts, which included three UFC appearances and three fights on Dana White’s Contender Series. Mayes outlanded Parisian by a 117-to-24 count in total strikes en route to a stoppage via elbows from the crucifix position.

3: Inverted triangle choke submission wins in UFC history after Jordan Leavitt accomplished the feat, tapping Matt Sayles 2:05 into Round 2 of their preliminary lightweight encounter. Leavitt joins Cole Miller and Olivier Aubin-Mercier as the only athletes to use the maneuver to win a fight in the Octagon.

14: Significant strikes landed by Leavitt in three UFC triumphs, two submissions wins and a KO slam victory.
