Report: UFC Pay-Per-View Price to Return to $64.99 on ESPN+ Beginning Next Year

Ultimate Fighting Championship pay-per-views will see a slight bump in price beginning in 2020.

According to a report from MMAjunkie.com, ESPN+ is raising the price of pay-per-views from $59.99 to $64.99 beginning with UFC 246 on Jan. 18. The promotion previously charged $64.99 for its premium events before signing an agreement to make ESPN the sole provider of its pay-per-view content earlier this year.

The initial lower price point was likely offered in part to help ease the burden on consumers because of the $4.99 ESPN+ subscription fee that was necessary in order to purchase pay-per-views.

“ESPN+ is an incredible value to UFC fans, and this price change represents a return to the price that UFC fans traditionally paid, prior to ESPN+ decreasing the price for pay-per-view events for most of 2019,” an ESPN+ spokesperson told MMAjunkie.com.

ESPN is offering a bundle for 2019 that includes a year of ESPN+ along with UFC 246 for $84.98. UFC 246 takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Jan. 18 and is headlined by a welterweight showdown between Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone.
