Nassourdine Imavov Accepts Caio Borralho’s Callout

Nassourdine Imavov and Caio Borralho have agreed to a fight on social media.

Borralho has been calling out the French contender for a while now. However, Imavov didn’t pay heed and was preparing to be the backup for the middleweight title fight between Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 319 in August.

However, Du Plessis said that he wasn’t interested in potentially facing Imavov as a replacment opponent if Chimaev were to withdraw from the main event. Regardless off the reason, Imavov has now decided to opt out of the backup slot and fight Borralho instead.

“No backup anymore. Conditions changed,” Imvaov wrote. “You wanted to talk son, I’m here, I'm gonna break you [Caio Borralho].”

Responding to Imavov, Borralho said “The Sniper” isn’t making a choice but only obeying orders. Borralho vows to send the Russian-born Frenchman back to the Republic of Dagestan.

“Finally stopped hiding huh??? [You] don’t call anything, you do what you’re told! [You] tried to avoid this fight for so long and EVERYBODY knows that,” Borralho wrote. “Now, [you] will do exactly what I commanded: Fight me! I make the rules here…Say bye bye to France, I’m sending you back to Dagestan.”

Imavov is riding the longest winning streak of his UFC career, with consecutive wins over Roman Dolidze, Jared Cannonier, Brendan Allen and former champ Israel Adesanya. Meanwhile, Borralho is unbeaten in seven UFC outings with his most notable wins arguably coming against Abusupiyan Magomedov and Cannonier.
