The former Strikeforce and Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s bantamweight titleholder will downshift to 125 pounds when she toes the line against Lauren Murphy at UFC Fight Night 208 on May 14. Tate enters the match having lost three of her past four bouts. She last competed in the UFC Fight Night 198 main event, where she dropped a five-round unanimous decision to Nova Uniao standout Ketlen Vieira on Nov. 20. Vieira outstruck “Cupcake” by a narrow 156-145 margin and denied all but one of her six takedown attempts.

As Tate looks toward her forthcoming battle with Murphy, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied her to this point:

35: Years of age for Tate, who was born in Tacoma, Washington, on Aug. 18, 1986. “The Fly,” “Aliens,” “Armed and Dangerous,” “The Karate Kid Part II” and “Top Gun” were the Top 5 movies at the domestic box office at the time.

11: Tate victories by knockout, technical knockout or decision, accounting for 58% of her career total (19). Her list of victims includes Marion Reneau, Holly Holm, Julie Kedzie, Marloes Coenen and Zoila Frausto.

14: Takedowns completed by Tate as a UFC women’s bantamweight, placing her sixth on the promotion’s all-time list at 135 pounds. She trails Sara McMann (23), Amanda Nunes (20), Julianna Pena (16), Liz Carmouche (15) and Raquel Pennington (15).

82: Seconds needed for Tate to put away Jessica Bednark with punches at Freestyle Cage Fighting 27 on Jan. 31, 2009. Having occurred in her fifth professional assignment, it remains the fastest finish of her 27-fight career.

2: Knockout losses on the Tate resume. She bowed to a first-round head kick from Kaitlin Young under the HOOKnSHOOT banner on Nov. 24, 2007 and succumbed to a volley of knees and a follow-up elbow strike from Cat Zingano in the third round of their pairing at “The Ultimate Fighter 17” Finale on April 13, 2013.

126: Days spent by Tate as undisputed UFC women’s bantamweight champion. She captured the title when she put Holm to sleep with a rear-naked choke in the fifth round of their UFC 196 co-main event on March 5, 2016 and relinquished it when she submitted to a rear-naked choke from Nunes in the first round of their UFC 200 headliner on July 9, 2016.

6: Organizations in which Tate has competed as a mixed martial artist. She has gone 6-5 in the UFC, 6-2 in Strikeforce, 3-0 in Freestyle Cage Fighting, 2-0 in CageSport MMA, 1-1 in HOOKnSHOOT and 1-0 in Atlas Fights.

200,000: Dollars in post-fight bonuses banked by Tate across her 11 appearances in the UFC. She has been awarded “Fight of the Night” on two occasions and “Performance of the Night” on two others.

54: Professional rounds completed by Tate since she debuted in 2007. She has gone the distance 11 times and holds an 8-3 record in those bouts.

.727: Cumulative winning percentage between the seven women—Vieira, Nunes, Pennington, Zingano, Young, Ronda Rousey (twice), and Sarah Kaufman—who have defeated Tate. They boast a combined record of 104-38-1.
