Errol Spence Jr. Headlines Showtime Telecast at ‘The Star’ in Dallas

Undefeated welterweight Errol Spence Jr.’s defense of his IBF world title against unbeaten Mexican challenger Carlos Ocampo on June 16 will headline Showtime and Premier Boxing Champions’ live three-fight telecast from Dallas, Texas.

Spence’s homecoming will be the first ever boxing event inside Ford Center at the Dallas Cowboy’s facility.

Also on the card will be Daniel Roman defending his super bantamweight belt against undefeated Moises Flores, and former world champion Javier Fortuna’s bout with Adrian Granados to be contested at 140 pounds.

Spence, the fourth ranked fighter on ESPN's pound-for-pound list, will likely be the heavy favorite in his hometown, having stopped 20 of his 23 opponents. Ocampo, meanwhile, has never fought outside his home country, and although undefeated at 22-0 with 13 wins via knockout, he has not faced top level competition in preparation for a bout with “The Truth.”

Roman, the 28-year-old “Baby Faced Assassin” from Los Angeles, has not been beaten since 2013, while Flores has never tasted defeat apart from a pair of no contests to Mario Munoz and Guillermo Rigondeaux, his record’s lone blemishes. The 31-year-old from Guadalajara, Mexico, has stopped 17 of his 25 opponents. He returns to the ring after a no contest against Rigondeaux, in a fight that saw him got knocked out with a punch that was initially called legal, but was eventually ruled to have come after the bell.

Fortuna is moving into the 140 division after first failing to make weight, then losing a split decision to Robert Easter Jr. in January. A former super featherweight titlist, he holds a record of 33-2-1 with 23 wins via knockout. His opponent is Adrien Granados, a gritty fighter who is much better than his 18-6 record would have you believe. The 28-year-old from Chicago has faced top level competition, with his losses coming from the likes of Shawn Porter, Adrien Broner, Felix Diaz and Frankie Gomez.
